friday eye candy gift

I know we've mentioned this book in the past...but every time I read it, it puts a big smile on my face. "Some Helpful Tips for a Better World" is my all time favorite book and the perfect gift to little ones and adults. It encourages you to make funny faces in the morning, invent celebrations, and my favorite tip for a happier life? Be YOU.

Hope you have a great weekend!

friday eye candy gift

{jam it, pickle it, cure it by random house $24}

{french cafe plates by rae dunn $18 each}

{balloon bday card by rifle $5.25}

I have conquered the marshmallows! Yes, marshmallows are indeed a simple DIY project (who would've known, right?). Thanks to "Jam it, Pickle it, Cure it", I started with vanilla, chocolate, and by the end of my marshmallow-week spree, got a little wild and made chocolate chip.

This book is the best gift EVER for the food crafter in your life..since you will probably get to taste a project next time you see them! ;) Pair it up with one of rae's serving plates, a beautiful card, and voila!

hope you have a great weekend!

WOW! i was blown away with the level of creativity and felt like i was immersed in nature! aaaah.... so relaxing :) even the food at the cafe was incredible... and the bread came out in a little pot!  i was happy to see some of our brooklyn designers represented there as well... go brooklyn! :)

Your wedding day is the most special day in your life.  Everyone wants to cherish the memories and remember that feeling of pure happiness.  As a boutique owner, I had so much fun pulling together all the different elements for this special day (with the help from mr of course ;).  From picking out the "we do" ring plates to sprinkling the venue with my vintage inspirational props from Pink Olive, it was as intimate and special as any girl could have dreamed for her wedding day.

Special thanks to Weddings by Two and Miha Matei for capturing these amazing moments and to 100 Layer Cake for the special feature!

happy blankie

What a day of sweets...we started off breakfast with cupcakes at the store, my friend Bobbie dropped by and surprised me with cupcakes later, and a customer just came in to share treats from her cake tasting. Feb 9th might beat Valentine's Day for me :)

Speaking of sweet things, I am in love with the new line of blankies we are carrying, Happy Blankie. Have you heard of it before? Watch the video and learn a bit more about David and his mom...so inspiring. For every blanket purchased, they donate one to a child in need.

We were featured in the kids guide of Where Magazine this month with the heart Happy Blankie, one of their latest designs. They just arrived, so come get one for your special little one!

friday ~ eye candy gifts at NYIGF!

This week we went to NYIGF to check what was new and exciting in the gift world...phew, all that walking was a full work-out! It was great to see what our usual favorite lines were working on, as well as finding new artists doing fun work. Big kudos to Justine from Snow & Graham for having donuts at her booth! Just what we needed mid-day :)
With that said, there will be many new goodies coming into the stores the next upcoming months, so stay tuned!
Here is a sneak peek at our finds:

{new blabla duo! Balthazar the magician and his comely assistant}

{many new tutus by creative pamela}

{pencil coin banks, how cute huh? They also had ice cream cone ones!}

{maileg's booth looked like a fairy tale, we set camp there for quite a while...hard to leave! }

{finally i won't run for the hill seeing these critters}

{vintage-inspired craft organizers and tapes}

{retro tape dispensers}

hope you have a great weekend!
